LEAD student Shanelle Gordon earned the top prize Wednesday, at the second annual PGIM Public Speaking event, the culmination of a week-long exercise in public speaking.

My Brother’s Keeper Newark, an initiative of Newark Opportunity Youth Network (NOYN), partnered with the Chad School Foundation and Newark Trust for Education to host the second annual Happy Hour for Men of Color who Teach in Newark at TRYP Hotel in downtown Newark.

Newark Opportunity Youth Network (NOYN) is one of 14 organizations joining Project Ready’s #CloseTheGap campaign to register 2,500 unregistered voters in Newark. The official kick off begins Tuesday, November 5 at the Project Ready Office.
